[vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”12″][vc_column_text]This is one of my mother’s favourite places, and I have to say that I’m starting to love this museum more and more. As it is located in my city, despite my young age, I have already had the chance to set foot there several times. But since I can walk, it is fantastic! In addition, some exhibitions give me the chance to touch artwork.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Art Gallery of Alberta is not a very large museum, but you can easily spend two or three hours within its walls without getting bored. The high building boasts exhibits on all three floors in addition to a terrace at the top from which we can admire a view of downtown Edmonton, Churchill Square, City Hall and the new library under construction. There are always three major exhibitions, one of them is usually a travelling exhibition from another major Canadian museum. Other smaller exhibitions are also interesting and even, I must say, much more avant-garde!<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”45px”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”6493″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”6489″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”45px”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1541023145121{padding-bottom: 60px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]But I must admit, the children’s room on the first floor is really a must stop for any child. It’s crazy! I tell you, no parent, no daycare can offer me this level of sensory experience. It gives rise to many of my senses. I set my eyes, ears, hands and sometimes mouth in action. Everything to be seen in this room has never been seen elsewhere, at least not by me or my parents. I get involved, and that’s what I like. The room is small, but so busy and engaging. I love each of my visits here! And it’s free for me! \ud83d\ude09<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1461321532240{padding-bottom: 65px !important;}”][vc_column]

\n\t\t\t\tMessage From My Parents\t\t\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>[vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_column_text]Whether you like contemporary art (like me) or not (like my husband), you’ll love your visit to this ultra-modern museum. The more I go, the more I love it. Thursday evenings are normally busier. Otherwise, at any time you will find on average 10 people per room, which will make your visit very pleasant. The staff is really friendly and will answer your questions. Exhibitions change regularly, so you can easily make 3 to 4 visits a year without reviewing the same artwork. For a quick visit, one hour will be enough to go around the major exhibitions, but allow two hours for a more in-depth visit. What I particularly like about the Gallery is its restaurant, Zinc, which offers much more upscale cuisine than any other museum I’ve visited over the course of my life.
